Sharlea is ultra fine wool produced by Saxon Merino sheep which are housed in specially constructed sheep care sheds where all aspects of proper sheep husbandry, nutrition and feeding, health, wool growth, quality and cleanliness are exercised between each shearing.

Sharlea Ultra fine is described as the ultimate fibre because of its consistency, evenness and quality.  Damage from weathering to the tip of the fibre is prevented by housing the sheep.  The sheep are coated at all times to ensure the wool remains free from contamination by dust or vegetable matter.

Due to the superior and faultless characteristics of this rare fibre, it is not sold by sample, but displayed on the showroom floor and promoted in its own right as the pinnacle of the wool industry.

Sharlea Ultra Fine wool ranges from 12 micron to 15.5 micron with yields from 75% to 82%.
